Installing the manual push camera head onto the shaft of Lifa brushing machines

Note: It must be used inside the centering device.

  1. Position the camera head (with the larger plastic Support Guide) approximately in the middle of the centering device when it's in its maximum open position, as shown in the photo below.
  2. Attach the camera head and its cable to the shaft of the brushing machine in such a way that the view from the camera on the display appears centered (approximately in the middle of the centering device when inflated or put into its as-used position). Use cable ties or duct tape to secure the camera head and the yellow glass fiber rod (or the electric cable from the DuctControl Manual Drop Cam) to the shaft.
  3. Make a similar connection on the shaft about 10 cm behind the centering device's metal holder piece when it's at its longest length (lying flat). Make a third connection approximately 1 meter from the second. This arrangement prevents the cable or rod from tangling around the brush and makes it easier to handle in conjunction with the shaft of the brushing machine, even if there are turns of any kind in the ductwork. Trim any excess length from the cable ties to ensure they don't interfere or get caught on obstructions inside the duct.

Your camera is now ready for use. Note that the visuals inside the duct are significantly clearer when the brush is rotating compared to when it's stationary. When the brush is rotating, you can see through it, and it also helps stabilize both the centering device and the camera in the middle of the duct.
